Job description

The core purpose of the role is to advise and provide communications and engagement expertise to support the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Strategy, particularly supporting “Pride in Place” priorities.

The role will specifically support the Environmental Services team in designing and delivering targeted communications and engagement strategies that drive positive behaviour change among residents and businesses. The goal is to ensure active participation in new waste and recycling service delivery, promoting sustainable waste reduction and increased recycling habits and behaviors.

The role will sit within the corporate Communications, Engagement and Insight team, which is part of the Strategy Unit. This unit is a centralised, high-profile service responsible for oversight and support in developing and monitoring political priorities, organizational strategy, policy setting, and performance.
