Location: Woolwich and some flexible home working

Passionate about transport and making Royal Greenwich a cleaner, greener, safer and healthier borough?

We’re looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated communications professionals to join our team and work on communications for transport. You’ll help us communicate and engage with residents and other stakeholders to deliver our Transport Strategy. It includes a range of measures to help encourage walking, cycling and public transport; reduce traffic, improve air quality, and support the rollout of ultra-low emission vehicles.

Based in Woolwich, a short walk from the new Elizabeth line station, the role will comprise a mix of office and some home working.

We need someone with excellent writing and planning skills to deliver creative and innovative campaigns. You’ll need to write engaging content for a range of publications, channels and audiences, as well as managing the Council’s reputation through the press and social media.

We offer a work environment which is stimulating, fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high-profile organisation.

From the world-famous sights of Greenwich town centre in the west to Thamesmead in the east, from the Greenwich Peninsula in the north to Eltham in the south, our communities are diverse. We want our workforce to reflect and respect this diversity and bring richness, productivity and innovation.

If you’re ready to be part of our exciting journey, please apply now, or contact us to discuss the job.
