Job description

We arelooking for a super organised admin to join our busy Marketing, Digital and Communications team.

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week working Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. (1 year contract)

Location:Office-based at Shine, Unit 4, The Forum, Minerva Business Park, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, PE2 6FT

Closing date:Wednesday 9th July at 11pm

Interview date:Tuesday 15th July at Head Office in Peterborough.

Role Description for Communications and Data Administrator

As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support for the Marketing, Digital and Communications team at Shine. Daily tasks may include administration of events, making updates to the website or on social media, or supporting on campaigns. This is varied role in a busy team.

Your principle duties will include:

  • Coordinating data administration around email, such as new members, unsubscribes (data entry, requires strong attention to detail) ensuring CRM is kept up to date.
  • Assisting with social media administration, monitoring comments and messages on channels.
  • Supporting the administration of events and related work.
  • Assisting with managing updates to publications and resources, and with printing requirements.
  • Assisting with press releases and managing enquiries.
  • Assisting on new marketing projects and campaigns as required.
  • Helping with data management and requests.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships across the charity.
  • Other duties consistent with the role, as may be required from time to time.

Essential skills

  • Solid time-management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong literacy, able to write well and proof-read for errors.
  • Strong numeracy, able to manipulate data using Microsoft Excel for reports and data management.
  • Handle information confidentially and sensitively in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Experienced with MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Teams.
  • Prepared to learn quickly, a ‘can do’ attitude and can ‘hit the ground running’.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of administrative tasks.
  • Able to work well as part of a team, building effective working relationships with colleagues – while this is an office-based role, the team work remotely too, so good communication skills are required.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM, email platforms such as ActiveCampaign or MailChimp, and design packages such as Canva or the Adobe Suite.
  • Experience of using social media to manage a company profile.
  • Experience of and desire to work specifically in the non-profit sector, and general disability awareness.
