ROLE OBJECTIVE

We seek a Comms Planning Director to establish and lead a new strategic discipline that integrates media, data, and creative, with a focus on social. Your role will involve shaping brand presence, demonstrating this approach to clients, and bridging Croud (media) with Born Social (creative).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Establishing the Comms Planning Discipline
    • Define the scope of Comms Planning at Croud—focusing on audience insights, channel strategies, and creative opportunities. Build the team, select tools, and embed it into our core services.
    • Represent Comms Planning to clients, leading strategic output on key accounts where media and creative collaborate effectively.
  2. Connecting Media and Creative
    • Serve as the strategic link between Croud and Born Social, advocating for social as a primary channel and ensuring integrated campaigns across the funnel.
  3. Product & Process Development
    • Create scalable Comms Planning frameworks, collaborating with Social Analytics to incorporate learning loops and evolve our offerings.
    • Lead the planning and analytics teams, fostering a high-performing environment for social-first strategies.
  4. Thought Leadership & Reputation Building
    • Position Croud as a leader in Comms Planning through industry representation, case studies, and awards in partnership with Born Social.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  1. Experience: 8+ years in comms, media, or channel strategy within an agency environment, with ability to integrate insights, platform thinking, and creative strategy.
  2. Strategic Storytelling: Clear perspective on brand presence across media, especially social, with ability to simplify and translate strategy into action.
  3. Creative & Media Connection: Skilled at aligning messaging, formats, and placements for results.
  4. Team Building: Proven experience in building and scaling strategic teams, developing products and processes.
  5. Data-Driven: Confident working with data and analysts to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  6. Client Leadership: Experienced in engaging with senior clients, influencing and educating to embed strategy as a trusted advisor.
  7. Social-Native: Deep understanding of social media’s role in modern communication and full-funnel planning.
  8. Collaborative: Cross-functional and cross-departmental working style, with a focus on big-picture thinking and tangible results.
COMPANY BENEFITS

Croud offers a hybrid working model with at least 3 days in our London office and the rest from home.
