Thales Group is seeking a Communications & Networking Research – Software Solution Lead in Reading, to drive the development of next-generation connectivity solutions for defence and security applications. The role combines advanced research with practical software engineering, leading a small team and engaging with customers to shape demonstrators into deployable systems.

Hybrid role with minimum 3 days onsite in Reading, UK.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in communications, networking and connectivity systems.
• Experience developing wireless communication solutions across SATCOM and terrestrial technologies.
• Embedded software development experience from proof-of-concept through to prototype delivery.
• Experience with modern software practices and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities
