Airbus Defence and Space in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated Commodity Manager to implement the Ground Segment commodity strategy, acting as the primary entry point for commodity management and supporting the Multi-Functional Team.

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, and contract negotiation, ideally within aerospace, defense, or high-tech engineering.

• A strong analytical mindset equipped to perform global market analysis, execute robust risk assessments, and drive value-creation projects.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to cultivate long-term, strategic partnerships with global suppliers.

• Establish, implement, and continuously improve the overall commodity strategy in alignment with Airbus Procurement policies.
• Perform comprehensive market analysis (including global sourcing and offsets) to manage end-to-end sourcing activities (CFT, RFP) and contract management.
• Cultivate long-term, strategic relationships with suppliers while actively monitoring and driving improvements in their performance.
• Identify and lead value-creation projects to champion product and service innovation.
• Ensure robust risk management across the ground segment supply chain.

At our Airbus Defence and Space site in Portsmouth, the Ground Segment Procurement team is looking for a dedicated Commodity Manager to implement the Commodity Strategy for Ground Equipment supporting all Programme Lines. In this role, you will act as the primary entry point for commodity management and play a crucial part in supporting the larger Multi-Functional Team (MFT) for Ground Segment Activities. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM As a leader in our procurement strategy, you will shape global sourcing initiatives and build partnerships that deliver value and innovation.
