Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a commodity strategy that supports business growth, cost control, and supply chain resilience.
- Manage framework agreements and call-off contracts, ensuring that all subcontractor agreements are structured for risk mitigation, commercial viability, and compliance with NEC4 or bespoke terms.
- Support Sales & Tendering teams in structuring bids with accurate cost models, rate inclusions/exclusions, and subcontractor engagement plans.
- Onboard, assess, and manage subcontractor performance to maintain a resilient and high-quality supply chain.
- Implement supplier governance processes, including performance KPIs, contract adherence, and financial health checks.
- Ensure commercial oversight on subcontractor payment applications, pricing models, and invoice processing in line with agreed frameworks.
- Implement cost tracking and efficiency reporting frameworks to enhance visibility of civils spend, ensuring price stability and project cost control.
- Work closely with Finance and Commercial teams to structure cost models that ensure all incurred costs are recoverable and transparently communicated to customers.
- Develop contract management and risk mitigation strategies that align with customer contract structures, liability management, and dispute resolution.
- Represent Procurement in tender reviews, pricing discussions, and customer negotiations, ensuring that civils & installations risks are factored into Yunex Traffic’s project bids.
- Ensure compliance with HSQE and CDM regulations in all procurement activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive experience in subcontractor management, procurement, or commercial management within the construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in framework agreements, NEC contracts, and subcontractor risk management.
- Understanding of pricing structures and cost recovery models, ensuring full visibility of project commerciality.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence across Sales, Project Delivery, Legal, HSQE, and Finance.
- Experience in supplier negotiation, contract drafting, and compliance oversight within a regulated industry.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, ensuring procurement decisions support operational resilience, cost efficiency, and strategic growth.
- Familiarity with UK procurement legislation, CDM regulations, and construction frameworks is highly desirable.
