Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong commodities trading background to support a short-term trading technology engagement in London. This technology-facing BA role requires understanding both the commodities trading business and the systems/data that support trading activities.

You will gather requirements, analyze trading processes and data flows, and translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Strong BA experience within Commodities / Energy Trading.
• Proven ability to gather and document business requirements.
• Experience analyzing trading workflows and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Work with trading and tech stakeholders to understand business needs and system requirements.
• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements.
• Translate trading requirements into specifications for technology and engineering teams.
• Analyze end-to-end trading workflows and data flows.
• Understand trading applications, interfaces and dependencies and assess impact of changes.
• Collaborate with technical teams on solution design to meet business needs.
• Support data analysis, mapping and validation as required.
• Facilitate discussions between business and technology to resolve gaps.
• Support testing, rollout and business acceptance of changes.
