Job Description:

A City-based Investment Bank seeks to hire within the middle office for Commodity products and to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the Capital Markets Trading desk.

Overview

• Accountable for the execution of assigned on-desk trade support activities in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Book, validate, and amend trades, review trade discrepancies, and follow up with clients; perform PnL, Risk, trade, and position reconciliations.
• Support the resolution of discrepancies/exceptions, escalating to management as required.
• Support the introduction of new products, technology, or processes aligned with Business Partner initiatives, including analysis, testing, and implementation.
• Identify potential risk situations within FICC Trade Support activities, escalating as needed.
• Ensure adherence to directives, internal processes, and approvals to mitigate risk.
• Understand and ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Follow all policies and standards, including the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, to prevent conflicts of interest and safeguard customer interests.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness of daily activities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through responsiveness, accuracy, knowledge, and availability.

Experience Required

• 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
• University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Products including Commodities (Energy and metals, especially metals financing), Fixed Income, and Interest Rate Derivatives.
• Knowledge of Financial Markets and Regulatory bodies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines independently or in a team environment.
