Commodities Portfolio Pricing & Valuations Specialist
The successful candidate will join the global Commodities Portfolio Pricing and Valuations team to lead pricing and valuations efforts in the EMEA region.The role involves developing and maintaining a cutting-edge real-time pricing, risk, and P&L platform for commodities, while analyzing and implementing new pricing models and ensuring data integrity. The candidate will also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to advance pricing methodologies, portfolio valuation, and system workflows.
Principal Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the development and maintenance of a best-in-class real-time pricing, risk and p&l platform for Commodities
- Analyse, design and productionize new pricing models and present proposals to senior stakeholders
- Manage existing data and system workflows and build relevant controls to ensure the integrity of real-time p&l and risk representation
- Work with PMs for pricing support and general portfolio valuation queries including reviewing curve construction, interpolation methods or market data quality
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of intraday/EOD marking and P&L explain methodologies,
- Act as representative of the Pricing and Valuation team in specific business development, analytics, market data or technology projects
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Quant Research, Risk, Middle Office, Operations and various Technology and Data teams to advance the real-time pricing and valuations framework
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a trading, structuring, quant risk or related role covering commodities, knowledge of European power and gas advantageous
- Experience with pricing and modelling commodity physical and/or derivative products, good understanding of market risk fundamentals
- Knowledge of non-linear/option products a strong plus
- Good understanding of Fair Value and derivative recognition concepts
- Endur/ETRM knowledge advantageous, but not essential
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, ability to deep dive into system and data flows
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and deliver effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a global team.
