Job Description:

Our client is a global financial services platform providing market access and infrastructure services, including execution, clearing, and hedging, to clients in energy, commodities, and financial markets, acting as both a broker and a dealer.

You will take ownership of credit analysis for a portion of the client base, working with other credit analysts to understand each client’s business model and financials, as well as macroeconomic impacts. You will produce well-researched recommendations for credit facilities submitted to senior management.

Responsibilities:
  1. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of current and potential clients & counterparties, including corporates, financial institutions, individuals, CCPs, and state-owned enterprises.
  2. Monitor global macroeconomic environment and specific country factors affecting credit risk assessments.
  3. Prepare credible recommendations for new credit facilities and renewals for the CRO & Credit Committee.
  4. Engage with clients domestically and internationally as needed.
  5. Report management information periodically and as needed.
  6. Advise and guide the business on credit-related matters and manage credit facility applications/reviews.
  7. Build effective relationships across departments to support the firm's client service model.
  8. Contribute to the development and implementation of credit risk policies and procedures.
  9. Communicate and escalate relevant issues to senior management and risk officers.
  10. Communicate confidently with diverse audiences, including C-Suite executives and external clients.
  11. Write clear reports highlighting key risks to support decision-making.
  12. Present effectively to senior management forums.
  13. Be a collaborative, approachable, self-sufficient team player who fosters a positive work environment.
  14. Remain resilient in a fast-paced environment and take responsibility confidently.
  15. Build relationships, network, and influence stakeholders effectively.
  16. Anticipate future challenges with strategic insight and agility.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Strong understanding of corporate financial statement analysis, preferably from investment banking or brokerage background.
  2. Proven ability to form well-researched credit assessments, including credit ratings and recovery potential.
  3. Knowledge of credit risk in futures and options margin requirements.
  4. University degree or equivalent work experience.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; Bloomberg experience is a plus.
  6. Experience reviewing clients in the commodities sector.
  7. Additional language skills are desirable.
  8. Experience in regulated environments and understanding of compliance and risk requirements.
