Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Committee Executive Officer who will have responsibility for the effective functioning of a busy branch of practice committee, the Welsh Resident Doctor Committee. The successful candidate will join us at an important time for resident doctors and will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of the committee's policy objectives and workplan, including working with others to support ongoing contract negotiations and to progress the campaign for pay restoration.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate within a health policy environment, understanding current issues facing healthcare delivery.
  2. Take a strategic overview of complex or sensitive issues and report these in written format to colleagues and/or senior managers.
  3. Organise senior-level meetings or events, set agendas, capture minutes, and follow up on action points.
  4. Manage and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Work collaboratively as part of a team.

You must be highly organised, able to manage a busy workload with competing priorities, and possess sound written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an eye for detail. Previous experience working with committees or in a membership-based organisation would be advantageous.
