We are seeking two highly organised and proactive Governance Coordinators to support the effective delivery of ICVCM’s governance and continuous improvement activities. These role play a key part in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and transparent coordination of their allocated committee and panel meetings; these roles would be allocated to either our Expert Panel (EP), or our Continuous Improvement Work Programmes (CIWPs).
Working closely with committee chairs, technical leads, and Governance Managers, the Coordinators take ownership of meeting logistics and administration—ensuring high-quality materials are prepared and distributed in advance, accurate records and actions are maintained, and follow-ups are consistently tracked. The role may also involve contributing to broader governance initiatives as needed.
This is a collaborative and stakeholder-facing role, requiring the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Board and Committee members, subject matter experts, and the Senior Leadership Team. The Coordinators may also support additional tasks such as research, proofreading, committee/panel onboarding administration, and event coordination.
We’re looking for candidates with proven experience in committee, board, or governance coordination—ideally within a not-for-profit, NGO, government, or similar setting. You’ll have a strong track record of providing high-quality, customer-focused governance support, including preparing agendas, drafting and reviewing papers and reports, taking accurate minutes, and tracking actions. Familiarity with managing conflicts of interest, supporting member onboarding, and maintaining secure and accurate data records is essential.
You’ll be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, board members, and subject matter experts, often across multiple time zones and cultural contexts. Strong interpersonal and diplomatic communication skills are key, along with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal English, and a calm, solutions-focused approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with digital governance tools or platforms is expected. A recognised qualification in administration or governance is desirable, as is flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours to support global meetings.
Whilst not essential, we would love to hear from candidates with some knowledge or experience of carbon markets, climate finance and/or sustainable investment; if you do not have this, a desire to develop your knowledge in this area will be a great advantage.
This role is offered on a remote basis, as a two year fixed term contract with potential for extension dependant on funding. The salary for this role is advertised as £37k-£42k GBP and based on UK market rates; if you are based outside the UK, salaries are adjusted to reflect your local market. Please note that this role requires you to work within one hour of GMT; many of our governance meetings are scheduled for 3pm-5pm GMT to accommodate US stakeholders, and availability at this time is essential for the role.
