Job Introduction

Due to the natural end of a permitted tenure, we now have an opportunity to appoint a Chair to the Property Operations Committee at Your Housing Group.

We are seeking senior leaders with experience as a committee chair or deputy chair and extensive strategic expertise in asset management within the housing sector, particularly in service delivery, asset strategy, investment programmes, and building safety.

The board recently approved the Group's new asset management strategy. As Chair of the Property Operations Committee, you will scrutinise and oversee the delivery of the Group's strategic plans to ensure our customers live in safe, warm, and dry homes. You will ensure the committee fulfills its delegated authority, with clear priorities, processes, and a productive culture, providing assurance on asset compliance, data, and risk.

The Committee Chair will also serve as a Non-Executive Director on the board, helping to set the Group's strategic direction and bringing innovative ideas to enhance our role as a housing provider.

Our mission at Your Housing Group is to deliver excellent customer service and build and maintain quality homes. We manage over 25,000 properties across the North West, Yorkshire, and the Midlands, including social and affordable rent, supported living, and private rental options. We are a Strategic Partner to Homes England.

Recently, we streamlined our structure, improved our services, invested in our assets, and advanced our Building Safety works. We are embarking on a new three-year Corporate Strategy to expand our impact and ensure a safe, supportive environment for our residents.

We aim to diversify our Board to better reflect the communities we serve, welcoming Non-Executive Directors who share our values and vision to guide us through future challenges.

If you can dedicate around two days a month for meetings, collaborate with other Board Members, and represent YHG as an ambassador, this is a chance to influence our strategic direction at the highest level.
