Oxford City Council is seeking a Committee and Member Services Officer to provide support and lead the democratic and governance processes at the Council. You will be a point of contact at committees, for Councillors and champions of the democratic process.

The role focuses on ensuring Councillors receive relevant training and are able to take decisions at each committee, supporting regulatory, governance, scrutiny and decision-making meetings such as Cabinet and Council.

A Committee and Member Services Officer provides support and lead the democratic and governance processes at the Council, being a point of contact at Committees, for Councillors and champion of the democratic processes. The Committee and Member Services team support a variety of committees, from regulatory, governance, scrutiny and decision taking meetings such as Cabinet and Council. This role is at the heart of democracy at Oxford City Council.

The role is to support the elected Councillors to ensure they are receiving the relevant training and are able to take the decisions at each committee.
