Job Responsibilities
- Conduct a full range of commissioning activities throughout the lifecycle of bespoke engineering projects, representing the commissioning function to customers and internal departments.
- Utilize solid engineering knowledge to extract relevant information from specifications and design documents, and develop commissioning strategies for bespoke solutions in the nuclear industry.
- Support tendering processes by estimating hours required for commissioning work and defining scope inclusions and exclusions.
- Create and review project commissioning strategies, ensuring their implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop testing and commissioning documentation, including pressure tests, proof load tests, control panel inspections, setting to work documents, safe systems of work, and factory and site acceptance test documents.
- Manage the turnover process from manufacturing to commissioning, assessing equipment readiness.
- Manage the transition from commissioning to manufacturing after in-house commissioning is satisfactorily completed.
Experience Required
- Open to candidates who are not necessarily licensed Commissioning Engineers but have experience as Project Engineers or similar roles with commissioning responsibilities.
- Experience in mechanical handling, robotics, special purpose machinery, or related fields is considered advantageous.
- HNC qualification (or equivalent) or higher.
- Extensive engineering workplace experience.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
