Job description

Directorate: Adult Social Care and All Age Commissioning

Section: Commissioning

Location: Civic Centre

Grade: Level 8

Salary: £33,699 - £36,363

Hours: 37 hours per week

This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.

The All Age Commissioning Service is looking to recruit a permanent Commissioning Support Officer.

This is a new post, creating additional capacity in the Adults Commissioning Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both leading on and supporting a wider range of commissioning and contracting projects aimed at supporting our most vulnerable residents, this will include working on supporting statutory services such as care homes, homecare, supported living and extra care as well as working with our voluntary, community and faith sector to develop innovative services and develop new ways of supporting individuals to maintain their independency.

The role will involve working across a number of different directorates, such as Adult Social Care, Public Health, Housing, Finance and Legal as well as our health colleagues.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to think creatively and a passion for developing and delivering services that can make a real difference to the lives of people in Stoke on Trent.
