Job Title: Commissioning Support Engineer

Salary: £Excellent

Job Start date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 Hours a Week

We're supporting our client, a manufacturer of systems for the global food industry, based in Suffolk, who are looking for a Commissioning Support Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Commissioning Support Engineer will have previous experience as an engineer with an electrical bias, as well as possess a recognised apprenticeship/qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Job Summary: As a Commissioning Support Engineer, you'll be supporting the commissioning, inspection and maintenance of industrial freezing and chilling equipment within the food processing industry. The role is varied and challenging, suiting someone with a passion for engineering, travel and professional development.

Responsibilities for Commissioning Support Engineer:
  1. Supporting commissioning, inspection, & maintenance of our systems
  2. Investigation and resolution of electrical/mechanical faults on customer sites
  3. Provide customer support via telephone and email as well as site visits
  4. Maintaining customer and supplier relationships
  5. Preparation of documentation such as risk assessments, specifications and site report sheets
  6. Identify new opportunities for system design and process improvements
  7. Machine optimisation, data logging and troubleshooting
  8. Frequent travel in the UK and overseas
About You:
  1. High standards and a commitment to quality during the completion of every task
  2. Methodical approach to problems and resolution
  3. Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  6. Multi-skilled (electrical bias)
  7. A recognised apprenticeship/qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering
  8. Previous experience within the food industry is preferred
  9. A valid UK driving licence
