Job Description:

Commissioning & Start-Up Engineer

CK Group is recruiting for a Commissioning Manager to join a multinational, multi-industry company on a 12-month contract, with potential for extension.

Salary: Up to £400.66 per day PAYE or £530.06 per day Ltd. This role is outside IR35.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage commissioning projects within the Transmission Substation and Wind Farm substation industries.
  • Prepare commissioning documentation including schedules, inspection and test plans, test procedures, etc.
  • Coordinate activities with the Project Commissioning team, clients, and third parties.
  • Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for substation projects.
  • Provide performance reports to the Project Manager, Project Director, and customers.
  • Understand offshore wind farm construction, commissioning phases, and UK grid procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety standards, policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Have knowledge of Grid code and OFTO (offshore transmission owner) with proven experience.
