Job summary

Celnor Group is seeking a field-based Pressure Tester to deliver end-to-end commissioning on clean water mains projects in London. You will work closely with the Field Supervisor and Project Manager to ensure safe, compliant site delivery.

The role covers pressure testing, chlorination and dechlorination tasks, with opportunities to develop within a growing environmental services group that values safety, teamwork and hands-on expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commissioning role with exposure to pressure testing, chlorination and dechlorination.
• Industry certifications such as EUSR Water Hygiene and NRSWA are preferred.
• Strong safety and RAMS briefing skills and ability to uphold high standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with HSE, safety and environmental standards on site.
• Deliver commissioning activities including pressure testing, chlorination, dechlorination and asset commissioning.
• Conduct pre-, live- and post-site surveys and briefings for safe delivery.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors and suppliers to maintain clear communication.
• Monitor dosing equipment performance (flow, pressure, turbidity, chlorine) for compliance.
• Identify and resolve commissioning issues to protect water quality and network integrity.
• Maintain records, manage equipment, support other workstreams and mentor technicians.

We are seeking a field based Commissioning Specialist to deliver end-to-end commissioning works on clean water mains from 80mm to 1000mm. Working closely with the Field Supervisor and Project Manager, the role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery, acting as the key on-site point of contact.

What you will do

• Ensure full compliance with company, client, and industry HSE, safety, and environmental standards.
• Deliver commissioning activities including pressure testing, swabbing, flushing, chlorination, dechlorination, and asset commissioning.
• Conduct pre-site, live, and post-site surveys, inspections, and briefings to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain clear and effective communication.
• Monitor and analyse dosing equipment performance, including flow, pressure, turbidity, and chlorine levels, to ensure compliance.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and elevate commissioning issues to protect water quality, end users, and the network.
• Maintain accurate records, manage equipment, support alternative workstreams when required, and mentor technicians, with flexibility for occasional extended or short-notice shifts.

Who you are

• Experience in a commissioning role, with exposure to pressure testing, chlorination, and dechlorination (training provided where required).
• Relevant industry certifications such as EUSR Water Hygiene, SHEA Water, Hydrostatic Pressure Testing, NRSWA, Confined Space, and CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS.
• Strong practical industry knowledge with the ability to brief RAMS and uphold the highest safety and compliance standards.
• Competent in IT systems including GIS mapping tools, PDA/Tablet use, and online reporting software.
• Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, coordinate resources, lead activities on site, and drive work through to completion.
• Experience in valve operations (including CALM Networks) and effective collaboration across field and office teams.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends in line with operational requirements.
