We are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Quality Assurance Specialist who will be responsible for providing a quality management service to the wider commissioning and warranty team at Siemens Mobility. The role will involve working closely, yet independently, with the Manufacturing and Customer Quality teams to ensure that Product Standards are maintained and Customer expectations are achieved prior to hand over.

Please note that there will be the requirement to occasionally work from RIDC & London.

You'll make a difference by

  • Ensuring vehicle quality through thorough inspections and documentation checks during commissioning, guaranteeing compliance with established standards before customer handover.
  • Providing expert quality guidance to Commissioning Technicians, supporting them throughout the testing and acceptance process to uphold excellence in delivery.
  • Monitoring and escalating deviations using CMMS tools (CORMAP/SAP), ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting of open points and anomalies.
  • Supporting customer handover processes by delivering authoritative advice and ensuring all documentation meets contractual and quality requirements.
  • Contributing to the analysis and resolution of serial defects and warranty issues, helping to drive continuous improvement across the DTUP fleet.
  • Collaborating across teams to evaluate vehicle readiness at key milestones, preparing and presenting quality data to internal and external stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Implementing and promoting safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with Siemens Rolling Stock HSWE policies and fostering a culture of safety within your area of responsibility.
  • Engaging with the HSWE team and your colleagues to drive behavioural safety, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement through active participation in safety initiatives and improvement programs.

Your success will be grounded by
  • Experience in Rolling Stock commissioning as well as ideally experience in vehicle assembly or production.
  • Relevant qualifications/training as an electrician or mechatronics technician
  • Knowledge of current railway standards
  • Quality Acceptance Qualification or similar relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a cross-border environment.

It would also be beneficial to
  • Have a professional qualification in quality assurance
  • Be fluent in German
