We are seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to join our Children’s Services client on a critical programme aligned to their Safety Valve commitments. This is an initial 6-month role based in London, paying up to £400 per day outside IR35 .
This role supports hybrid working.
You’ll lead commissioning projects focused on improving services for Pre-16 and Post-16 learners with SEND, developing sustainable, needs-led provision and reducing reliance on high-cost placements.
The successful Commissioning Project Manager will be responsible for:
• Leading end-to-end commissioning for SEND services
• Developing strategies to improve outcomes and control spend
• Supporting frameworks, contracts, and provider agreements
• Aligning services with transition pathways and local needs
• Monitoring performance and ensuring delivery against outcomes
The successful Commissioning Project Manager will have:
• Experience in commissioning or project management within Children’s Services or SEND
• Strong understanding of SEND provision – including placements and transition services
• Background managing frameworks, provider contracts, and KPIs
• Excellent stakeholder, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment
