Job summary

NRL in North Wales seeks an experienced Commissioning Process Engineer to lead commissioning for large-scale process systems. You will develop plans, procedures and schedules, coordinating with engineering, construction and operations to ensure readiness for commissioning.

The role requires a Degree in Chemical Engineering, proven EPC commissioning experience, strong safety knowledge, ability to read P&IDs, and excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication to deliver safe, efficient

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Demonstrated experience in process commissioning within EPC or large-scale industrial projects.
Comprehensive understanding of commissioning procedures and safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for process systems.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure readiness for commissioning.
Oversee system pre-commissioning and commissioning checks, including mechanical completion verification.
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of process systems to meet operational targets.
Ensure all commissioning activities comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Prepare and submit documentation, including punch lists and handover records.
Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and resolve technical issues promptly.
