Bradford Corporation is seeking a Commissioning Officer to join the Collaborative Commissioning Team (Children).
The role covers Children in Care with a 1.0 FTE fixed-term contract for 20 months, based in Bradford. The post requires experience in commissioning, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage projects and write effectively.

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and positive Commissioning Officer to join our People Commissioning Service: Collaborative Commissioning Team (Childrens)
This is your chance to be part of a team that will transform how we commission services for Children in Care. The role is at the heart of the People Commissioning Service, building relationships and providing commissioning and contract management functions for Adult Social Care, Childrens Services and Public Health. We are committed to investing in our staff, to co-producing services with the people who use them and developing and improving services for our communities in Bradford.
We are looking for an experienced commissioning officer to join our Collaborative Commissioning programme team to support the implementation of a comprehensive, collaborative and relational commissioning approach that will deliver improved market stability, quality and value for money for commissioned services for children in care .
We are looking for someone with commissioning experience, ideally in Childrens services who is a creative thinker and problem solver, who can manage projects, communicate with a wide range of people, and write well .
Interviews are expected to take place week commencing 28th September 2026
