Commissioning Manager (Transformers) – Key Role in Wales!
TGRC is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Commissioning Manager specializing in transformers to lead transformative projects in the vibrant region of Wales. This 12-month contract offers a competitive day rate of £600 and is designed for professionals who are passionate about enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of energy systems.
About the Role
In this vital position, you will oversee the commissioning of transformer systems, ensuring they are efficiently integrated into Wales’s energy grid. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing these systems for maximum reliability and performance in support of renewable energy initiatives.
Responsibilities
Commissioning Oversight : Direct all phases of the commissioning process for transformer systems, from initial planning to final execution.
Technical Expertise : Provide technical guidance on the installation, testing, and maintenance of transformers, ensuring all systems meet operational standards and project specifications.
Safety and Compliance : Maintain rigorous adherence to health and safety protocols throughout the commissioning process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership : Manage and lead a team of engineers and technical staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Stakeholder Management : Engage with key stakeholders including utility providers, government bodies, and contractors, ensuring smooth project delivery and resolving any issues swiftly.
Qualifications
Experience : At least 3 years of professional experience in energy grid or network projects, with a focus on transformers.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications : Current Health & Safety (H&S) tickets relevant to electrical and high-voltage work.
Skills : Strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
