Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commissioning Team as a Commissioning Manager for Older People, Ageing Well & Dementia.

This permanent role involves:

  1. Being responsible for commissioning services from a range of Care Providers to support people over 50+ to live well and promote independence.
  2. Contributing to and implementing commissioning strategies that deliver change, including leading workshops with social workers, providers, and residents to understand the needs of older people and those living with dementia.
  3. Leading the creation of innovative approaches to high-quality, affordable, and outcomes-focused services.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Thorough knowledge of legislation governing social care and relevant health and social care strategies.
  • Good knowledge of commissioning and strategy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to ensure outcomes are achieved through joint working.
  • Experience working with people at different organizational levels and handling complex information.
  • Access to staff development opportunities such as coaching and apprenticeships.
