Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager for a major data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. You will lead commissioning of MEP systems, coordinate teams, and manage energisation and handover in line with safety protocols.

The role requires a degree in engineering or 5+ years data centre commissioning experience, with strong IST knowledge and leadership abilities. Accommodation and travel support are available for non-commuting candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years leading data centre commissioning.
• Proven experience commissioning HV/LV, UPS, generators and cooling systems.
• Strong IST understanding and ability to review test scripts and commissioning docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and delivery across all MEP systems.
• Plan and manage commissioning programmes from Level 1 through Level 5 / IST.
• Coordinate commissioning agents, subcontractors and client representatives.

£95,000 - £115,000

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a leading data centre delivery team on a major new data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a key role leading commissioning of critical mechanical and electrical systems through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and delivery across all MEP systems
• Plan and manage commissioning programmes from Level 1 through Level 5 / IST
• Coordinate commissioning agents, subcontractors and client representatives
• Review and approve test scripts, procedures and commissioning documentation
• Manage energisation, testing and handover in line with safe systems of work
• Track and close out issues, punch lists and commissioning records
• Report progress and risks to project leadership

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years leading data centre commissioning
• Proven experience commissioning HV/LV, UPS, generators and cooling systems
• Data centre commissioning experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of integrated systems testing (IST)
• Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
• Relevant electrical safety and site safety training
