Commissioning Manager Data Center - Netherlands - (186209)

As a Commissioning Manager Data Center, your role will involve overseeing the planning, management, execution, and documentation of commissioning processes for engineering services systems in data centers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of commitments to clients with detailed and high-quality work.
  • Utilize management systems to achieve commissioning objectives.
  • Provide consultative advice on commissioning strategies, requirements, and scope.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle with contractors and vendors.

Additionally, you will:

  • Engage with team members to improve systems and procedures.
  • Serve as a technical champion in your area of expertise.
  • Promote the company through marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to health and safety policies at all times.
  • Work professionally, ensuring technical compliance and quality.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to develop commissioning strategies aligned with project goals.
  • Implement company management systems for commissioning in accordance with contract documents.
  • Monitor project finances and control expenditures.
  • Attend meetings, prepare technical reports, and develop project documentation.
  • Review drawings, manuals, and technical submittals for compliance.
  • Create method statements, test scripts, and scope change reports.
  • Evaluate project progress, difficulties, and costs with the team.

General Duties

  • Prepare test instrumentation for commissioning activities.
  • Assist in developing tender submissions.
  • Complete timesheets accurately and promptly.
  • Support colleagues in their work proactively.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Engineering degree or equivalent; project management experience is essential. Membership in CIBSE, ASHRAE, or similar is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project or commissioning management within building services.
  • Strong communication skills, client focus, leadership qualities, and resilience.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and adaptable to flexible hours.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to improve and adapt.

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel to site locations.
  • Experience as a licensed PE or technician with knowledge of MEP systems and HVAC controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Project, and effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of design documentation, construction practices, and project management tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
