Role Overview:

As a Commissioning Manager for HVDC, you will be part of our HVDC Control Team, implementing, testing, and verifying hardware and software for innovative HVDC applications using lean and agile methods. You will work closely with project management, system and equipment engineering, and end customers to deliver customized solutions based on the latest HVDC technology. Your responsibilities will include quality assurance during Factory Acceptance Tests, commissioning high-voltage equipment, and ensuring system functionality on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute tests and commissioning of HVDC transmission systems efficiently and on time.
  • Manage an international team of commissioning engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations, including health and safety laws.
  • Organize Functional System Testing and Factory Acceptance Tests at test facilities.
  • Oversee construction site processes, monitor work progress, and communicate with suppliers and partners.
  • Coordinate technical clarifications with customers in collaboration with project management.
  • Support risk and claim management, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Several years of experience in commissioning large plants, such as HVDC, power plants, or switchgear.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites, including offshore platforms.
  • Basic project management knowledge.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong conflict management, decision-making, motivation, and communication skills in multicultural teams.
