Qualifications

  • Experience in Energy from Waste, Power Plants, or other heavy industry settings is required.
  • Experience in diagnosing faults on plant and equipment is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with contract requirements and HSEQ standards.
  • Support the commissioning team with mechanical issues.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and functional state.
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks with contractors and suppliers.
  • Document maintenance tasks and operations.

Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with contract requirements, and conform with project time, budget and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements
  • Supports the commissioning team in all mechanical issues (filter cleaning and exchange, dismount pumps, etc.)
  • Reports any variations and issues to the Commissioning Manager
  • Maintains all mechanical tools in a clean state and ready to use
  • Maintains and cleans the equipment of the plant
  • Liaises and coordinates with other project team members, in particular the Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Lead Engineers and Operations personnel
  • Review and implement maintenance routines and schedules as per supplier OM and plant maintenance and preservation requirements
  • Ensures routines are maintained and recorded on the plant management systems PAMELA and or CMMS etc
  • Produce Risk Assessment and Method statements for all maintenance activities
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance as per manufacturers and HZI requirements and documentation – this includes manpower, plant, material, consumables, spare parts etc required to successfully complete maintenance
  • Completion of unplanned maintenance as required by the commissioning manager
  • Diagnosing faults on plant and equipment and implementing appropriate action in co-ordination with the commissioning manager and or engineers or shift personnel
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers and vendors to ensure maintenance is completed as scheduled and records are maintained as per company requirements
  • Carry out all operations in line with company procedures and guidelines
  • Carry out required maintenance tasks in the field and record completion of maintenance tasks in shift books, produce activity progress report on regular basis as required by Commissioning manager
  • Collect samples as required by the commissioning manager or lead engineer water, oil, waste, IBA etc
  • Communication with shift team leader in relation to any items of maintenance to be carried out which could interrupt stable operation of the plant
  • Organize requisition of spare parts when requested, and replenish spares stock in coordination with Spare Parts Manager
  • Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
  • Keeps the Commissioning Manager / Site Manager informed of all site-related activities

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
  • Solution orientated
  • Ability to present ideas effectively
  • Good command of English (English written and spoken) other languages an advantage
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years in a maintenance role in Energy from waste, Power Plants and or other heavy industry setting
  • Detailed and organised
  • Ability to work alone and part of a team
  • Flexibility, ability to travel and work shift pattern or site hours
  • Able to evaluate ideas of others
