Job summary

Crown House Technologies, part of Laing O'Rourke, is seeking a Principal MEP Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning process on a major Data Centre project. You will own strategy and delivery, lead commissioning teams, coordinate specialist contractors, and oversee testing, validation and handover to ensure a fully operational building.

This role offers long-term career progression, extensive training, and exposure to industry-leading projects within an in-house MEP engineering business.

Qualifications

• Extensive, recent experience managing commissioning on complex MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, building operation, and commissioning codes of practice.
• CSA Grade 6 or CM2 accreditation (or equivalent proven experience).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and resource planning skills.
• Ability to produce detailed commissioning strategies, schedules, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Commissioning Execution Plan with strategy, methodology, and fully resourced programme.
• Manage all commissioning stages: Static Completion, Pre-functional Testing, Functional Testing, Integrated System Testing, Building Performance Testing.
• Oversee and verify Factory Acceptance Testing and site-based commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with BSRIA, CIBSE, CSA, IET codes of practice, Building Regulations, and BREEAM requirements.
• Drive the commissioning programme, monitor progress, and advise on potential delays.
• Manage documentation, reporting, and production of the final Commissioning Report.
• Ensure safe commissioning practices and adherence to all health and safety standards.
• Plan and deliver Employer training, seasonal commissioning, and post-PC monitoring.
