Full Job Description

Job title: Commissioning Engineer

Job Type: Permanent

Start date: Subject to clearance

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000

Location: Wolverhampton

Hybrid: 4 days on site minimum

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Role information

• Creating project commissioning strategies for new bespoke projects and reviewing their implementation during the project lifecycle.
• Developing test and commissioning documentation as required, including pressure tests, proof load tests, control panel inspections, setting-to-work documents, safe systems of work, factory and site acceptance test documents.
• Supporting tendering for new projects by estimating hours required for commissioning work.
• Managing the turnover from manufacturing to commissioning and assessing equipment readiness.
• Ensuring work is completed within the required timeframe and communicating deviations to the Project Manager.
• Designing and carrying out test work safely, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Preparing for and completing factory and site acceptance testing, including risk assessments, test equipment, TCA fitting, and following FAT and SAT procedures.

Qualifications/Experience Required

• HNC Qualified (or equivalent)
• Extensive engineering workplace experience
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry
• Management of commissioning teams
• Broad experience with mechanical and electrical equipment operation
• Ability to motivate and coordinate a team of commissioning and test engineers
• Adaptability to changing situations or equipment
• Knowledge of relevant British and European Standards

UK National Security Vetting Status: All candidates must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
