Commissioning Engineer

Location: Amersham, England, United Kingdom

Requirements: BEMS knowledge is essential.

This role involves full BMS commissioning, including producing schedules, operation descriptions, modifying panel designs, creating/modifying drawings, and developing software and graphics as needed.

You will work both independently and as part of a commissioning team, potentially supervising junior engineers, ensuring effective and safe on-site work, and sharing technical knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Check emails daily for instructions.
2. Back up software and strategy files for all systems/sites.
3. Liaise with subcontractors and clients regarding design or engineering changes.
4. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
5. Manage subcontractors daily.
6. Attend site commissioning and progress meetings.
7. Oversee project commissioning, ensuring delivery aligns with schedules and design.
8. Perform field point-to-point checks, wiring, and modifications.
9. Commission various DDC control systems, update schedules and drawings.
10. Produce daily work reports, highlighting delays and causes.
11. Ensure all ‘As Commissioned’ documentation is complete and properly stored.
12. Update server and witnessing packs regularly.
13. Conduct client demonstrations and project handovers.
14. Carry out site surveys and produce detailed reports.
15. Participate in training and meetings as required.
16. Follow safety procedures, including method statements and risk assessments.
17. Support the technical team with submittals, wiring diagrams, RFIs, and technical submissions.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
