Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited seeks a Commissioning Engineer on a permanent basis to deliver projects across the UK. You will perform control, instrumentation and electrical commissioning within MCCs, industrial instrumentation, analyzers, motors and other automated control equipment for water-related projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent.
• Proven instrumentation & electrical commissioning experience across installation, dry/wet tests and process testing.
• 18th Edition electrical qualification.
• Experience with SAP or AP position and PTW systems.
• Experience with iMCCs including VSDs, softstarts and flow, level, pressure and temperature instrumentation.
• Experience in FAT/SAT testing and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Provide a flexible approach to resourcing all commissioning requirements of various projects.
• Develop commissioning plans, site commissioning files, methodologies, programmes, method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor standards to ensure specification compliance and quality standards are maintained.
• Attend FAT activities and contribute to system controls.
• Commission LV electrical systems, instrumentation and control systems including MCCs and field equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&ID’s and line diagrams.
• Complete SAT and Asset Start-up and commissioning documentation.
• Participate in HAZCOMM activities as required.

Job description

What Are We Looking For?

Due to continued growth, RSE is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, assisting in the delivery of our projects across the UK. You will undertake Control, Instrumentation and Electrical works – including installation, testing, commissioning, and fault finding within new and existing MCCs, industrial instrumentation, analyzers, motors, actuators and all other equipment used in the automated control systems associated with RSE products and those used by clients in the Water industry.

Please note this position will require flexibility on working location, with accommodation provided by RSE.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Provide a flexible approach to resourcing all commissioning requirements of various projects
• To support the project team by developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files, methodologies, programmes, method statements and risk assessments
• Monitor standards to ensure specification compliance and quality standards are strictly maintained
• Attend FAT activities and provide constructive input with regards to system controls
• Carry out commissioning of LV Electrical systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems including MCC’s and associated field equipment
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, line diagrams and P&ID’s
• Complete SAT and Asset Start-up
• Complete commissioning documentation
• Participate in HAZCOMM activities for various projects as required

What Do You Need?

• Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent
• Proven Instrumentation & Electrical experience – full commissioning phase experience (installation, dry, wet, process testing)
• 18TH Edition
• Previous experience holding SAP or AP position and of PTW systems
• Experience of iMCC’s including VSD’s, Softstarts and Flow, Level, Pressure and Temperature instrumentation
• Experience in FAT, SAT testing and fault finding
• Experience in telemetry end to end testing
• Profibus, Installation and Commissioning Certification
• Full UK Driving Licence
