Job summary

WR Engineering seeks a hands-on Commissioning Engineer to support testing, verification, and commissioning of packaged plant rooms and modular pump systems for HVAC and Data Centre solutions.

The role requires electrical strength, solid mechanical understanding, confidence in customer-facing environments, and experience in commissioning and FAT/SAT. Travel across the UK and Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven commissioning experience in HVAC, data centres, or industrial fluids.
• Strong knowledge of electrical controls, PLCs, inverters, instrumentation.
• Solid mechanical knowledge: pumps, valves, filters, pipework.
• Able to read schematics, fault-find, and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK & Europe.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical commissioning of packaged systems, including control panels, PLCs, inverters, instrumentation, and pumps.
• Support FAT/SAT procedures, documentation, and client witness testing.
• Conduct site-based functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting, fault finding and problem solving.
• Work closely with project managers, engineering, and service teams.
• Maintain accurate commissioning records, test documentation, and RAMS/HSE compliance.
• Assist with O&M documentation and certification.

Location: Droitwich, (with travel across the UK & Europe)

Salary: £60K-£70K

We're looking for a hands‑on Commissioning Engineer to support the testing, verification, and commissioning of packaged plant rooms and modular pump systems for HVAC and Data Centre solutions.

This role is ideal for an electrically‑strong engineer with solid mechanical understanding, confident in customer‑facing environments and experienced in commissioning and FAT/SAT.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical commissioning of packaged systems, including control panels, PLCs, inverters, instrumentation, and pumps
• Support FAT/SAT procedures, documentation, and client witness testing
• Conduct site-based functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting, fault finding and problem solvingWork closely with project managers, engineering, and service teams
• Maintain accurate commissioning records, test documentation, and compliance with RAMS and HSE standards
• Assist with O&M documentation and certification

About You
