As a Commissioning Engineer at Waukesha Bearings, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for commissioning new active magnetic bearings installations and servicing existing installations worldwide. You will also support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.

Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has over three decades of applying magnetic bearing technology to enhance rotating equipment performance. We are industry leaders in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performance rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.

What You Will Bring

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
• At least five years of experience in commissioning automation systems
• Knowledge of European safety standards is beneficial

What You Will Do

• Involved in worldwide commissioning, including subsystem testing prior to site installation
• Provide global servicing and support
• Respond to service call-outs worldwide
• Complete system integration and testing according to company procedures
• Prepare documentation for installation and cabinet testing
• Assist with cabinet testing
• Ensure delivery meets all cabinet and system requirements by the specified date
• Comply with safety and quality standards relevant to each country
• Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
• Maintain professionalism and technical competence when interacting with customers
• Support business objectives through various duties
• Potentially handle some commercial activities as time permits
• Up to 50% international travel
