Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking an Automation Engineer with a Commissioning focus to support a global Data Center project in Cardiff, UK. The role is on site 4-5 days per week to drive commissioning and testing activities in a demanding environment.

You will troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, network, and control system issues under senior engineers, coordinate milestones with MEP/IT/Construction teams, and contribute to PLC/HMI development and testing in live or staging environments.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of industrial automation experience focused on commissioning.
• Experience in mission critical environments, preferably a Data Center.
• Experience with Rockwell SCADA systems.
• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and testing of the DC site.
• Assist in troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, network, and other control system issues during incidents under senior engineers.
