Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the nuclear sector is seeking a Commissioning Electrical Engineer to oversee all electrical disciplines and ensure compliance with stringent safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and prior experience in commissioning within the nuclear industry. SUITABLE CANDIDATE

You enjoy analising concrete problems, finding solutions and then setting them up.

Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions as regards industrial safety captivates you.

Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesizing and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments.

You have the ability to adapt to new technical problems. You know how to manage a small-sized team.

THE ROLE

As Commissioning Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to work across all electrical disciplines, including system voltages at 400kV, 10kV, 400VAC, 690VAC 220VDC and control voltages. You will have to work with plans and meet tight deadlines.

You will carry out the following activities:

  • Contribute to team meetings.
  • Liaise with the designer.
  • Liaise with the Project managers for electrical deliverables.
  • Accountable to a nominated Commissioning Manager/Engineer in the Project team.
  • Develop commissioning documentation relating to commissioning testing and system validation activities.
  • Contribute to design reviews to ensure layout of plant items and systems are in a manner that allows ease of commissioning.
  • Contribute to detailed planning of commissioning and take ownership of a programme of commissioning tests.
  • Take part in the execution of site commissioning activities including supervision of contractor commissioning personnel on behalf of the Project to achieve successful and safe commissioning of systems
  • Provide information to assist the Commissioning Manager and Senior Commissioning. Manager in meeting project-level objectives and milestones.
  • Analyse commissioning results and provide reports summarising the outcome of commissioning.
  • Support the Project to ensure that the commissioning process meets nuclear, environmental and industrial safety regulatory requirements and that it reflects good industry practice in international safety and technical excellence.

During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge or relevant experience in the nuclear industry.
  • A first experience in Commissioning activities.
  • Knowledge of the electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system.
  • Knowledge of the quality processes and regulations involved in industrial projects in the nuclear field.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn, prioritise and manage numerous tasks.
