  2. Commission book titles in the chemical sciences, specifically on the biochemistry and medicinal chemistry portfolio, in accordance with strategic plans.
  3. Collaborate closely with authors, editors, and reviewers.
  4. Assess projects for publication and ensure effective marketing to end users.
  5. Attend the office on an ad-hoc basis as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience of commissioning and acquiring content.
  • A good honours degree in science (preferably chemical science) or relevant STM publishing experience (essential).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work in a team.
  • Previous experience working with academics or members of the scientific community.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload responsibly.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Postgraduate or practical experience in STM publishing is desirable.

Note: Interviews will be conducted during the week commencing 19th May. We offer excellent benefits and a great work environment. Visit our Work For Us website to learn more about us, our benefits, and our inclusive culture pledge.
