A leading construction firm in Bristol is seeking a Commissioning Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with NICEIC requirements and support project teams in electrical and life safety systems. Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical testing to a minimum of C & G 2394/5, 2391 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience in overseeing testing and commissioning of specialist systems such as Fire Alarm, Smoke Control, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with NICEIC requirements and issue relevant certification.
  • Carry out design commissioning/compliance reviews for allocated projects.
  • Assist project teams with commissioning management and engineering technical support.

The Role

We are looking for a Commissioning Compliance Manager (E&F) to strengthen our in-house commissioning/compliance team in the South-east. The role will primarily be to ensure compliance with NICEIC requirements and issue and collate the relevant certification. The position will have early involvement in projects, carrying out design commissioning / compliance reviews. You will then continue with allocated projects to assist project teams with commissioning management and engineering technical support, through to project completion for all electrical and life safety systems.

This is a permanent position with further prospects for development.

Reports To:

Senior Commissioning Compliance Manager (E&F)

Technical Compliance Director (E&F)/SAE

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience & qualifications in electrical testing to a minimum of C & G 2394/5, 2391 or equivalent and preferably previous experience as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor but not essential.

Additional experience that would be beneficial is some experience in overseeing testing and commissioning of specialist systems such as Fire Alarm, Smoke Control, Lighting Control, Disabled Systems, etc.

Essential Skills and Attributes

The ideal team member will have technical knowledge of electrical systems and be interested in furthering that knowledge. You’ll have planning and programming skills, together with good computer literacy. You can work effectively with all levels of staff and your strong management skills will be invaluable in taking a leading role in technical and commissioning meetings. You work well alone and as part of a team, are able to resolve issues and take a proactive approach to ensuring customer satisfaction.
