Job summary

Stanton House, partnering with a global information and intelligence services business, seeks a Compensation Manager in London. You will own sales targets and commission processes across the group, working with commercial and sales leadership to ensure robust targets, well-governed schemes, and actionable performance insights.

The role offers broad exposure across the business, blending commercial partnering, analytics, process improvement and people management responsibility.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial finance, sales performance, incentives or related discipline.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams in fast-paced, recurring revenue or tech-enabled environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful commercial insight and recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven experience improving processes, controls and ways of working.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Previous people management or mentoring experience.
  • Experience designing or administering sales commission/incentive schemes.
  • Exposure to target-setting frameworks and sales performance management.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Spiff, Clari or similar platforms.
  • Experience driving automation and scalable reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sales target setting with finance and sales stakeholders.
  • Own the sales commission cycle, ensuring calculations, approvals and payments are accurate.
  • Manage commission systems and monthly approvals.
  • Develop and maintain policies, processes and controls for target setting and commissions.
  • Partner with sales leadership to provide insight and support around performance and growth.
  • Analyse commission and performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Improve and automate reporting, commission and target-setting processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, governance and commission-related cost management.
  • Review and refine commission structures to align with business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a direct report and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Role

This position sits within the Commercial Finance team and takes ownership of the sales target setting and commission processes across the group.

The successful candidate will work closely with commercial and sales leadership teams to ensure targets are robust, commission schemes are well-governed and performance data is translated into actionable commercial insight.
