Job summary

A fine dining establishment in Bagshot is seeking a Commis Sommelier to support the Sommelier and Head Sommelier. The role includes ensuring a well-stocked and maintained wine service, assisting guests with wine recommendations, managing guest queries, and facilitating wine tastings. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented and knowledgeable about wine offerings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are properly stocked and set up ready for service.
• Ensure an effective wine and beverage service in the restaurant at all times.
• Have full knowledge of the wine list to assist guests with their choices.
• Be aware of all bookings and any special guest requirements.
• Help run any wine tasting sessions as required by the team.
• Resolve any guest queries relating to wine and drink service.
• Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of all wine service equipment.
• Assist the Head Sommelier in wine training for front of house team members.

Job description

In the role of Commis Sommelier, you will be expected to work effectively as part of a team providing support to the Sommelier and Head Sommelier with all aspects of the wine service in the restaurant. Share, The Commis Sommelier will be responsible for;

• Ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of all wine service equipment
• Help the Head Sommelier to carry out any wine training as required by front of house team members
