Lenny's in Covent Garden is hiring a Commis Chef to join the opening kitchen team. You'll support the section chefs, prep, cook and plate to ensure every dish meets our standards from day one.

This hands-on, fast-paced role suits someone early in their career who wants to learn, follows recipes precisely, works well under pressure, and is flexible to work evenings, weekends and festive periods.

Qualifications

• Some experience working in a professional kitchen, even informally.
• Genuine passion for food and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
• Calm head with a good pace under pressure during service.
• Team-first attitude and flexibility to help where needed.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and festive periods.

Responsibilities

• Support section chefs with prep, cooking and plating throughout service.
• Learn and follow Lenny's recipes and specs so every dish is consistent.
• Keep your section clean, organised and stocked throughout the shift.
• Support with deliveries, stock rotation and storage.
• Follow food safety and allergen procedures on every shift.
• Support with cleaning down and closing checks at the end of service.
