Job summary

Eastlands Venue Services Limited in Manchester is seeking a Commis Chef to support the kitchen team across Etihad Campus, including Premium, Conference & Events, and Retail areas.

You will assist with food preparation, maintain organisation within your section, and work closely with senior chefs to ensure dishes are prepared safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and gain experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment (Commis Chef or similar).
• Basic food safety and hygiene understanding (Level 2 preferred).
• Willingness to learn and develop cooking skills across sections.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced team.
• Good organisational skills and keep calm under pressure.
• Positive attitude and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support your section during prep, service and close-down.
• Assist with mise en place and service delivery to quality standards.
• Work flexibly across different kitchens or venues during busy periods and events.
• Maintain hygiene and HACCP compliance.
