We are actively seeking a Commis Chef for the Camellia Restaurant. Working as part of a brigade, your main duties will be to assist the Chef de Partie and Head Chef in the preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times and that the designated kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the property.

Role Responsibilities

As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Chef de Partie in the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the kitchen operations, through food services and functions throughout the day.
  • Understanding all relevant laws and legislation regarding food handling, storage, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Following all recipe guidelines and standards set by senior chefs.
  • Contributing to and assisting in the production of innovative menu designs for relevant functions and food services.
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of commodities used throughout food production.
  • Being flexible and accommodating in providing catering requirements for spa members and guests.
