Job summary

A well-established service provider in Witney is looking for a Commis Chef to join their team. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, with hours from 07:00 am to 15:00 pm. You will have a notable track record in the kitchen and possess a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. Responsibilities include measuring ingredients, preparing dishes, and maintaining standards in the kitchen. This is a temporary to permanent position offering £12.60 per hour. Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure ingredients to support the chef de partie.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping produce, and seasoning meats.
  • Assist in the preparation of basic salads and sauces.
  • Receive and check deliveries to ensure items meet quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisor when supplies run low.
  • Discard expired or spoiled food safely.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations.
  • Ensure dishes are presented to the required standard.

FM Service Provider - £12.60 per hour

CBW has an exciting opportunity for a Chef to work for an established company situated in Witney. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Chef and will be able to work immediately on a flexible basis.

Hours/Details:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 07:00am to 15:00pm
  • Contract type - Temp to perm
  • Immediate start

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 Culinary or equivalent, Food hygiene certificate – Level 2

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately measuring ingredients to support the chef de partie
  • Preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping produce, and seasoning various meats
  • Assisting in the preparation of basic salads and sauces according to the chef de partie’s instructions
  • Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure all items are complete and meet quality standards
  • Monitoring inventory levels and informing the supervisor when supplies are running low
  • Safely discarding expired or spoiled food from storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Maintaining clean, organised, and fully sanitised workstations
  • Ensuring all prepared dishes are presented to the required standard as directed by the chef de partie
