Job description

In a Nutshell
We're actively seeking a Commis Chef to join our team here at Pennyhill Park for the Hillfield restaurant. Working as part of a brigade of chefs, your main duties will be to assist the team in the preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times, and ensuring that the designated kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the hotel.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the smooth, safe, and efficient running of kitchen operations during food service
  • Understand and adhere to food margins, working closely with Chef de Partie
  • Follow all relevant laws and legislation regarding food handling, storage, hygiene, and safety
  • Assist with food preparations delegated by senior chefs
  • Follow recipe guidelines and standards set by senior chefs
  • Contribute to innovative menu design and food service
  • Help monitor and control the quality of ingredients used
  • Be flexible in catering to hotel guest requirements
  • Provide feedback from guests and staff to the Head Chef
