Job summary

Accent Catering Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Commis Chef for an independent school site in St Albans. You will support culinary operations, maintain high standards of food preparation, and contribute to delivering nutritious meals to students with a focus on quality and service.

You will work with a collaborative team, adhere to food safety practices, and have the flexibility to work overtime as required.

We play an important part in students learning and development, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion about ensuring that our future generations are provided with nutritious and delicious food, while also inspiring them to lead a healthier lifestyle.

The Commis Chef is responsible for supporting the culinary operations within the school, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional food service.

Excellent craft skills and the ability to manage your own workload

• High standards of cleanliness, consistently maintaining a tidy, organised workspace
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Flexibility and a strong team-focused approach
• A passion for food with a great eye for detail
• A comprehensive understanding of food safety and health and safety

The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
