Stein's Fish & Chips in Padstow is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You'll support experienced chefs, preparing fresh ingredients while learning across different sections of the kitchen.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes consistently
• Preparing fresh ingredients to specification and high standards
• Learning and working across different sections of the kitchen
• Following recipes, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation
• Working closely with senior chefs to develop your skills and confidence

What we’re looking for

• A passion for food and a genuine interest in cooking
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Basic kitchen experience or catering qualification is helpful, but not essential
• A team player who is reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking

You’ll find a menu of cod and haddock together with a large range of local fish like hake, lemon sole, Cornish scallops and bass which is often landed right here on our doorstep in Padstow.
