THE ROLE

The role of the Commis Chef is to successfully run a section of the kitchen brigade. The ideal commis chef candidate should have the following:

  • Experience cooking and preparing high quality dishes
  • Assisting in food rotation and restocking
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
  • Experience with kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of basic food safety practices
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Positive and approachable manner and team player
